Jodie Broughton is hoping he’s given head coach Paul Anderson a major selection dilemma.

After featuring in just two of the opening 14 Super League XX fixtures, the lightning Giants winger has played in Huddersfield’s last five top-flight fixtures.

In that time, he’s crossed for tries in the wins over Warrington and Widnes and the Magic Weekend draw against Catalans Dragons.

His long-range effort in last weekend’s 30-22 victory at the Vikings proved the crucial score to help the Giants remain on course for a top-four finish at the end of the regular season.

But with Aaron Murphy ready to resume and centre Leroy Cudjoe making a successful comeback against Widnes after their knee injuries, Giants chief Anderson has a full-strength backline at his disposal for next Sunday’s home clash against Hull KR – with Broughton desperate to remain in the mix.

“After such a frustrating start to the year, I just hope I’ve done enough to keep hold of my place,” said Broughton.

“I know when I’m battling for a place on the wing with Murph and Jerry (Jermaine McGillvary) there’s no way you could take a regular starting spot for granted. They’re both fantastic players and good mates.

“But I’ve been pretty happy with the form I’ve been starting to show since I’ve come back into the team – playing regularly is the best way to improve your game – so I hope I’ve given Baloo a lot to think about before he decides on his team for Hull KR.”
