AFTER a blank weekend, both the Giants’ Reserve and Academy sides are back in action.

First up are the Reserves, who entertain Warrington Wolves at Huddersfield YMCA tomorrow (2.00).

And it’s a game the Giants should be confident of winning, with victory helping coach Andy Procter’s side maintain their fifth-placed position while keeping the out-of-sorts Wolves second bottom of the Championship League ladder.

The Academy, meanwhile, face a potentially far tougher challenge on Sunday.

They travel to Widnes Vikings (2.30) for a mid-table clash in which a victory for the visitors would do wonders for their bid to reach the end-of-season play-offs.

Veteran Australian forward Steve Menzies is to join Bradford Bulls on a one-year deal for 2009.

The 34-year-old Menzies told a news conference in Sydney that he will end his 16-season stint at the Manly Sea Eagles at the end of the season to play out his career in England.

Meanwhile, St Helens coach Daniel Anderson has every confidence former Bulls man Leon Pryce will be able to cast aside his impending court appearance and focus on tonight’s Super League derby at Wigan.

The Great Britain stand-off was arrested at the weekend, along with Warrington full-back Stuart Reardon, and charged with assault and using violence to gain entry.
