FAMOUS rugby league players of the past have been at the George Hotel as part of promotional activities.
Legends Mick Sullivan, Tom Van Vollenhoven, Billy Boston and Neil Fox were in town to unveil new bedroom suites that have been named in their honour.
Each door as a plaque bearing their name.
And another equally familiar RL personality in Mike ‘Stevo’ Stephenson was in the hotel’s RL Heritage Centre to launch his autobiography “Stevo: Looking Back.”
The Sky Sports summariser and former Great Britain hooker was on hand to sign copies of his new book, which chronicles his highly-eventful career in the game.
