Huddersfield Giants conditioning chief Greg Brown believes the Leroy Cudjoe-Jermaine McGillvary wing-centre partnership could become even stronger.
The duo have developed into one of Super League’s most effective right-side three-quarter pairings.
And with them having their first full pre-season together, Brown knows they could be about to take things to another level.
“It’s exciting watching these two working together, mainly because it’s never happened in pre-season before,” said Brown. “Because of Leroy’s previous England commitments, I’ve never actually worked with him at this stage of the year, and I’ve been here about six or seven seasons!
“But to see how hard Leroy and Jerry have been working is exciting.
“Leroy’s been right up there in the fitness sessions I’ve held – Danny Brough has also been leading by example – and you can tell how keen he is to win back the international spot he lost at the end of last season.
“If he can match what he’s doing on the training field in games, then I know he’ll be straight back in the England set-up.
“And with Jerry also going well, I know how much better they could potentially be in 2015.”
