Huddersfield Giants head coach Paul Anderson can’t wait to get back on to the grass.
As the Giants continue their build up to the 2016 Super League season, Anderson is eager to get his side working outdoors.
“One thing we have to do as soon as we can is to get out on the training field,” said Anderson.
“The weather is what it is and we just have to deal with that.
“But getting on to the field is a priority to get the boys working together.”
In pre-season the Giants will travel to Hull KR for former Huddersfield winger David Hodgson’s testimonial match to be played on Sunday, January 17 (3pm kick-off).
Before that the Giants will have a friendly against West Yorkshire rivals Championship side Halifax, coached by former Giants forward Richard Marshall, on Sunday, January 10 – the Infirmary Cup game will be played at The Shay (3pm).
“Those games are not too far away now and I am looking forward to it,” said Anderson.
“And we pretty much all together now as a squad.
“We have had a couple comeback this week in Kyle Wood and Jake Connor, and now the squad has got a lot more hard work ahead of them.”
