TRYSCORING sensation Rod Jensen believes having fun could be the key to success in the remaining games that lie ahead.

The in-form winger admits he is having the time of his life following his move from top Australian NRL club North Queensland Cowboys.

And he believes that if he and his Giants teammates can carry on enjoying themselves, then they can progress in the play-offs.

But he also knows his club will need to be at their very best to overcome the first hurdle at Hull tomorrow night (7.00).

“This is another massive game, and I can’t wait,” said ‘the Rocket’, left.

“It’s amazing to think that we’re in the play-offs when you consider we lost our first seven Super League games.

“I obviously wasn’t there then, and I also missed the club’s first run of good form after Easter.

“Unfortunately, I arrived just as the boys went through another slump, so I did wonder what on earth the future held.

“But as soon as we hit form again, there’s been no stopping us, and I’m having a fantastic time.

“One of the reasons I left the Cowboys was that I wasn’t finding footy fun any more.

“I’ve come here to the Giants and that fun element has returned.

“I’m loving playing for the team, and so are the rest of the boys.

“And I think that’s one of the reasons why we put another good run of form together and made it into the top six.

“The spirit in the squad is great and that’s reflected in the way we’ve been playing.

“We know the key at Hull tomorrow is to stay relaxed and enjoy the occasion as best we can.

“If we do that we know we’ve got a great chance.”

Jensen will again be on the wing and could face former Australian Test star Matt Sing.

The winger is in line to play his first game in seven weeks because of a foot injury, and Jensen hopes he plays.

“I suppose I’ve got mixed feelings over Matt,” he added.

“We were good mates at the Cowboys and it’ll be great to face him.

“But I also know he’ll be a very tough opponent, just like the rest of the players in the Hull side.”
