JAMAHL LOLESI is determined to build on his improvement in form and help the Giants go on to even greater Super League success.
The 26-year-old former New Zealand Test centre grabbed the opening try as Huddersfield made it four top-flight triumphs on the trot with the 46-16 victory over Harlequins on Sunday.
Next up for the Giants is tonight's away trip to Hull KR (8.00) when a win for the visitors would lift them further away from the foot of the Super League ladder.
And Lolesi is confident it can be achieved, and that he will have a greater influence on the contest.
"I still feel I'm about two to three weeks away from getting back to full fitness," he said.
"When I do, I obviously hope to do even more to help the Giants keep on winning.
"I knew when I came here it would take a bit of time to get back to my best.
"I was about three to four weeks behind the rest of the boys because I'd just had ankle surgery, so it took me a bit of time to really get back into it.
"Then just as I did I copped the bad knee and missed a couple of game.
"But I'm back now and, even though I'm playing at about 80%, I'm thoroughly enjoying my footy, and long may that continue.
"The mood among the boys is fantastic and we're determined to keep on winning.
"After the way we've played in the past month, we're really looking forward to Friday night.
"We weren't at our best against the Quins last weekend, so we're looking to step up a gear tonight and get back to our best.
"The confidence in the squad is fantastic and we're loving being part of this side.
"It's going to be tough over there, but we're looking forward to it."
