SUPER League success for the Giants earned the club several prestigious individual honours.

Jon Sharp set the ball rolling after being named the coach of the month for March.

And by the end of the season, many members of the Giants senior squad had received international call-ups.

Eorl Crabtree, Stuart Jones and Paul Reilly were picked for the England European Nations squad, with Reilly picking up the man-of-the-match award as his country beat Ireland in the final.

Hefin O'Hare was again a key member of the Wales squad which was also involved in the competition.

Both Mick Slicker and Iain Morrison were picked for Ireland and Scotland respectively and declined the offer to give them more time to recover from injury.

And Stanley Gene was named captain of Papua New Guinea for the one-off Test against Australia.

This represented the highest number of Giants players called up for internationals in the Super League era and is obviously another clear sign of the progress being made by the club.

That is also backed up by the quality of the signings made for Super League X, which is led by the arrival of Australian Test centre Michael De Vere.

The Giants have also signed other top players in Paul Jackson, Chris Thorman and Brad Drew, suggesting next season could be even better.
