PROGRESS made in the Giants' treatment room will shape the rest of Iain Morrison's season.

The Scotland international second row was recalled from a loan spell at Whitehaven to bolster the injury-hit Giants squad at London - even though he himself is injured!

Huddersfield went into Sunday's match at Brentford, which they lost 35-26, with seven players (Michael De Vere, Stanley Gene, Stuart Jones, Ben Roarty, Stuart Donlan, Marcus St Hilaire and Bolu Fagborun) injured and Paul Reilly suspended.

To add to coach Jon Sharp's woes, they lost Ryan Clayton with a knee injury during the clash.

Clayton was today due to have an examination of the damaged joint while Donlan will get a specialist's verdict on his knee tomorrow.

"We had to bring Iain Morrison back down because of the mounting injury problems," said Sharp, whose side have this weekend off before aiming to keep their top-six play-off hopes alive at resurgent Wakefield on Sunday week.

"He has a knee problem, but was the fittest of the unfit players, and ended up being 18th man.

"It's possible that we could loan Iain back to Whitehaven, but it depends on how quickly our other injuries start to clear."

Having played only three Super League matches for the Giants this season, the 22-year-old Morrison has figured three times for National I promotion chasers Haven.
