FORMER Giants favourite Chris Nero could make his Bradford Bulls’ return in Sunday’s Super League clash at the Galpharm.

The popular Australian has been sidelined for the last six weeks with a broken collar bone.

But Nero is known to be close to a return and that come at his old club this weekend, where he could fill in at centre following last week’s departure to rugby union of Shontayne Hape.

Captain and scrum-half Paul Deacon is also eyeing a return after a knee injury, although that can’t be guaranteed this weekend, particularly with the form now being shown by former Wakefield man Ben Jeffries.

He was again in solid form last weekend as the Bulls warmed up for this Sunday with a 40-20 home victory over Hull KR.

Huddersfield’s Reserves and Academy teams are both in action at Moldgreen’s DRAM Centre this weekend.

Tomorrow, the Reserves host Bradford (2.00) in a fixture the Giants should be confident of winning.

While coach Andy Procter’s men have won seven and drawn one of their 15 League fixtures, the Bulls have just four wins to their credit.

And there’s also no reason why the Academy can’t make it a double with a win over Leeds Rhinos on Sunday (11.00).

Huddersfield have won four of their 10 games so far, while the Rhinos have four wins from 12 starts.
