ROBBIE PAUL is tipping Giants teammate Eorl Crabtree (left) for international honours.

And he believes another big performance from the Huddersfield prop against St Helens at the Galpharm on Sunday (3.00) will strengthen his Great Britain claims no end.

Paul was full of praise for Crabtree's front-row efforts during the Giants' 18-16 engage Super League victory over Wakefield at Belle Vue on Saturday.

The England international produced another rock-solid all-round effort, with New Zealander Paul confident he will get even better.

"Eorl was great for us again against Wakefield," said Paul. "I've been extremely impressed with what I have seen from him since I arrived.

"He is improving with every game he plays and if that improvement continues he will definitely force the selectors' hands to pick him.

"He's a real handful for any defence in Super League, and a big performance against Saints on Sunday won't do him any harm at all.

"St Helens are obviously the form team and this will be a good test for Eorl, just like it will for everyone.

"Although we were delighted to get the win at Wakefield, we know we must show a big improvement this weekend.

"The performance on Saturday showed we are still learning as a new team and still working on finding the best way to play as a team. We are getting there, and hopefully things will fall even more into place this weekend."

Giants head coach Jon Sharp still has a question mark hanging over the fitness of Michael De Vere, who is continuing to struggle with a back strain.

But apart from Jim Gannon (knee) and Andy Raleigh (hernia), everyone else is available.
