JON SHARP has warned his Giants that places are up for grabs.

Changes are expected for this Friday's home clash against Hull FC at the Galpharm (7.30), with centre James Evans (ankle) and full-back Paul Reilly (virus) ready to return after missing the 36-18 defeat at Salford.

And with prop Jim Gannon hoping for the green light in the next few weeks following major knee surgery, Sharp has warned he has options.

"We didn't pick up any major knocks at Salford, which is obviously one of the main positives," revealed Sharp.

"James Evans and Paul Reilly are two big players to add to the 17, which means there are going to be some disappointed blokes this Friday.

"But the players who are picked against Hull also need to show an improvement if they are to hold on to their spots, particularly the forwards.

"We expect to have Jim Gannon back in the next few weeks and, with the way he's been training, he looks pretty determined to make sure it's sooner rather than later.

"It's something the rest of the forwards will have noted, and the onus is on them to make sure the decision to bring Jim back isn't an easy one."

Stephen Wild (ankle) passed a fitness test only four hours before kick-off at Salford while Chris Thorman (ankle) and Paul March (hip) had intensive treatment beforehand.

The Giants' Senior Academy side suffered a 46-14 Championship defeat at Salford. Full details tomorrow.
