HUDDERSFIELD Giants are heading back to Brown's!
Club officials have confirmed head coach Jon Sharp and his Super League squad will jet off to the prestigious sports complex in Portugal in January.
The week-long trip - between January 12 and 19 - will form an important part of the Giants' pre-season programme.
Huddersfield have secured one of the best slots to visit the Brown's base, having requested these dates as soon as they finished their first visit in January this year.
And Giants football manager Stuart Sheard is delighted his club have got their wish.
"The Brown's complex is the best there is, and to get our preferred dates for the trip is fantastic," said Sheard.
"We put in our request for next year during our first visit in January, because it was clear that Brown's had everything we needed.
"The facilities are absolutely tremendous and everything we needed was provided.
"It enabled us to do quality work on a day-to-day basis and meant we were able to start the season in good shape.
"There's no reason why it shouldn't be the same again for Super League XI."
The trip to Portugual is now looking an even better option, with weather forecasters all predicting a severe winter.
That will obviously disrupt pre-season training for clubs, which is something the Giants hope to avoid.
"All being well, the weather in Portugal will be good and we'll be able to do some quality work," added Shead.
"But we're also lucky we've got the sports barn on Leeds Road at our disposal.
"We know that when the weather is bad we've got this magnificent facility to use."
Meanwhile, former Giants utility back Marcus St Hilaire is set to join Halifax.
