HARLEQUINS’ injury problems have paved the way for 21-year-old Londoner Lamont Bryan to break into the side for tonight’s home Super League clash against the Giants.

Bryan’s side go into the contest bottom of the table after last week’s home defeat to fellow strugglers Salford City Reds.

But the loose-forward, who represents Jamaica, feels they remain confident of emerging from their slump.

“It’s a long season and we’re only six weeks in,” he said. “We were all disappointed by last weekend’s result but what matters most is how we react to it.

“This week we’ve been working on our reaction to adversity and keeping a positive attitude.”

Giants duo Andy Raleigh and Jamahl Lolesi have apologised for the non-appearance of their column, which has been due to technical difficulties and a change of preparations because of the trip to London.

They promise normal service will be resumed next week.
