DISAPPOINTED Giants coach Jon Sharp is looking forward to coming home from Australia for two big reasons - his family and his club!

Great Britain, for whom Sharp is an assistant coach, crashed out of rugby league's Tri-Nations competition after losing 33-10 to the Aussies, who will now meet New Zealand in the final on Saturday.

Sharp is frustrated that the Lions lost out in Brisbane.

But he is now focused on the future.

"I've loved every minute of this tour," he said.

"It's really flown by, but at the same time, I've missed home.

"I'm a family man, and not seeing my wife and kids for six weeks has been tough.

"But I am also really looking forward to see all the people at the Giants again.

"I've been in almost daily contact with the club during my time out in Australia.

"I've been told the players have been working hard on their individual fitness programmes ahead of the start of pre-season training (on Monday week, November 27).

"I'm looking forward to seeing for myself exactly what sort of shape they are in.

"I know just how professional my players are and that they will all have been working extremely hard.

"Now I want to touch base with them all."
