FIRED-UP Paul Reilly is desperate to secure a first Giants' Super League win over Bradford Bulls before the end of his career - and believes tonight could be the night!

Huddersfield's victory hopes have increased dramatically with the shock news that Great Britain prop Stuart Fielden has left Odsal and signed for Wigan in a world-record £450,000 move with immediate effect.

And Reilly is determined to take full advantage when the Giants visit Odsal (8.00) bidding to get their top-six play-off challenge firmly back on track.

"This could be the ideal opportunity to beat the Bulls," said the 30-year-old. "And it really is about time we did it.

"I've had some fantastic times playing for the Giants in Super League, but something that really disappoints me is that we still haven't beaten the Bulls.

"We've beaten everyone else in the competition but always come up short against Bradford. It's time that came to an end.

"I don't want to finish my career without a win over the Bulls. That's one of the things I still want to do.

"And wouldn't it be great if we got the win tonight ahead of the start of my testimonial on Sunday (full details on page 42)?

"But the main priority tonight, of course, is to win the match to get our play-off bid back on track.

"We all know last week's performance at Cas wasn't our best and this is the chance to put things right.

"I know it can be done.

"There's so much team spirit this year that we always feel confident we can go out there and get the job done. Hopefully that will be the case again tonight."

Giants head coach Jon Sharp was today awaiting a check on winger Martin Aspinwall (ribs).

He was having a late fitness test.

Aussie Michael De Vere is ruled out with a thigh strain.
