TOUGH Giants forward Ben Roarty is ready to snub a call-up to the combined Australia and New Zealand squad to face the Cumbrians tomorrow.

That's because the 27-year-old is still uncertain as to whether he will play.

ANZACS officials yesterday drafted Roarty and Wakefield centre Sid Domic into the touring squad for the Cumbrian clash at Workington's Derwent Park.

The Super League duo and former teammates at the Penrith Panthers have been added to a line-up which includes Mark O'Meley, Brent Tate, Matt Cooper, Matt Bowen, Ben Kennedy and Brett Kimmorley, who all missed out on selection for the first two Gillette Tri-Nations matches.

Scrum-half Kimmorley has the chance to press his claims for a recall for Saturday's clash with Great Britain at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Yet while the half-back is already guaranteed a starting spot, Roarty is still waiting to find out if he will get a place in the final 17.

"It's a fantastic honour to be called up and it would be a great thrill to play for the ANZACS," said Roarty.

"But at the moment I'm 18th man, and that's not what I want.

"If I'm going to travel up to Cumbria, I want to go up there knowing I'll be getting a game.

"I've told the management team to give me a call if someone pulls out and I'll be in the 17. If not, I've told them I won't be travelling.

"I'm already starting to gear up for pre-season training and I don't want that disrupted badly if I'm just going up there to sit in the stands. That would be a waste of everyone's time.

"With the squad that's being assembled at the Giants I want my pre-season to be spot-on.

"There are exciting times ahead at the club and I aim to leave nothing to chance next season."

Roarty missed the final weeks of the Super League season with a rib injury and has undergone minor shoulder surgery.

But he is now back to full fitness and raring to go.

"I feel great right now," said Roarty, who is now the proud father of seven-week old son Brayden.

"I've had an eventful few months and I'm looking forward to a very bright future, both on and off the field."
