ROBBIE PAUL is ready to lead the Giants to semi-final glory!

The Kiwi legend returns to Bradford tomorrow confident of helping Huddersfield beat Leeds Rhinos to reach the Challenge Cup final for the first time in 44 years.

Paul and his Giants go into the game as underdogs, with Leeds expected to meet St Helens in the Twickenham final on August 26.

But the 30-year-old believes the Giants are ready to rise to the occasion and cause a major Challenge Cup stir.

"We're going there to win!" declared Paul, who played in five finals with Bradford Bulls.

"If I didn't think we could do it, I would pack it in right now.

"And I know that's what all the boys are thinking.

"We're under no illusions as to the size of the task ahead of us against Leeds.

"They have world-class players and coaching staff and they've done it all before.

"But the wonder of the Challenge Cup is that it's how you perform on the day.

"And we know that if we hit our best form, we're capable of beating any side, and that includes Leeds.

"Earlier in the season, no-one gave us a hope when we faced St Helens, but we went out there and knocked off a side that some were predicting would go through the entire season unbeaten.

"There's no reason why we can't repeat that kind of feat again tomorrow.

"And I know how much it would mean to the people of Huddersfield to see that happen.

"When you walk around the streets and meet the fans you can sense how badly they want us to get to the final.

"This great club has been starved of success for far too long, and this weekend we have the chance to try and put that right.

"It can be done.

"The Giants remind me very much of Bradford Bulls when I first arrived there 12 years ago.

"The Bulls were a club with ambition, who were working hard but needed success on the field to back it up.

"That came with the first of five Challenge Cup finals in 1996, and the Bulls were really on their way!

"I just hope and pray it's the same this year for the Giants.

"We know we can beat Leeds and we definitely have the confidence to carry it through.

"If we play to our potential, anything is possible."
