PAUL ANDERSON is looking for Scott Moore to put pressure on the 17 that helped the Huddersfield Giants secure A confidence-boosting 36-18 home Super League triumph over Catalan Dragons.
Huddersfield head to Salford City Reds on Friday having savoured just a second victory in their last 11 top-flight fixtures.
All those who featured against the fourth-placed French produced valuable contributions and are expected to be available for the trip to the City of Salford Stadium.
But with hooker Moore looking to return after resting a couple of niggles, and checks being taken on prop Larne Patrick, who suffered a severe back spasm just hours before the Catalan clash, Anderson is hoping the pressure to be picked will help the Giants produce an even more solid performance.
“The key to our win over Catalan was the collective effort,” said Anderson, who revealed winger Luke George’s omission was selection-based.
“But that doesn’t automatically mean the team won’t change on Friday.
“If Larne recovers from his back spasm he could be straight back in, because he’d have played against Catalan had he been fit.
“And Scotty already knows he’s a chance of featuring this week.
“His problem last week was that his body was starting to creak, which was due to the fact he came to us in such a de-conditioned state.
“That meant he’s been struggling with an ankle and his groin in recent weeks and then picked up a dead leg at St Helens.
“We felt because of the short turn-around this week that it would be best to rest him on Sunday so he’d be in with a chance this Friday.”
