BUSY Giants coach Jon Sharp will this weekend complete his club's pre-season Super League plans before turning all his attention to his Great Britain duties.

Sharp flies out to Spain with the Lions squad on Wednesday morning as Great Britain gear up for the Tri-Nations series against Australia and New Zealand.

But the Giants boss and Great Britain assistant coach has been working round the clock to ensure all his club work is completed by the start of next week.

"The last few weeks have been exceptionally busy behind the scenes," reported Sharp.

"In fact, all the coaching staff are working as hard now as we were during the season.

"That's because I'm determined to leave no stone unturned in an effort to make sure our pre-season training is spot-on.

"That obviously takes time, and that's why it's been hard work.

"But it's a price we're all willing to pay if it means the Giants get off to a good start to the season. That's what we're all striving to achieve."

The vast majority of the work has focused on the pre-season training programmes, both individually and collectively.

Sharp is also keeping a constant eye on the recruitment market, but admits no new signings are imminent.

"That process is on-going. We're still on the look-out for players who would add something extra to our squad," he said.

"But as I've said all along, there's no way we're going to be rushed."
