GIANTS coach Jon Sharp will send his squad into Super League X action on Saturday with Great Britain boss Brian Noble knowing Huddersfield have a great man at the helm.
Sharp worked as Noble's No2 in the Great Britain set-up for last autumn's Tri-Nations series against Australia and New Zealand.
The Giants chief was handed an 18-month Lions contract midway through last season as reward for the Giants excellent start to 2004.
And Bradford Bulls chief Noble has no doubt that Sharp will continue to make a positive impression this season.
"Sharpy is a great coach and has a fantastic work ethic," said Noble.
"That was clear with the way his Giants side started last Super League season.
"It was clear to everyone within the game that here was a side that was extremely well-coached and well-organised, and the man responsible for that was Jon Sharp. It was certainly no fluke.
"Unfortunately, his Huddersfield side were clobbered by adversity in the second half of the season.
"It was pretty obvious the dip had nothing to do with his coaching ability.
"In rugby league, there are often times when situations completely beyond your control can hamper what you're striving to achieve.
"That's what happened with Sharpy and the more I worked with him with Great Britain, then the more I discovered what a quality operator he was."
