GIANTS coach Jon Sharp believes his side has what it takes to bounce straight back against Hull FC at the KC Stadium on Sunday (3.15).

His Huddersfield side were rocked at struggling Salford a week ago as their nine-match winning run was brought to an end.

The 14-12 Super League defeat hit the Giants hard, with no-one expecting Sharp's top-six side to falter.

But he is confident his players are capable of coming up with the perfect response on the East Coast and getting last week's setback straight out of their system.

"We know we have a big challenge in front of us on Sunday," said Sharp.

"They are always very tough at home and I know they will be smarting from their defeat at Wigan.

"The final scoreline didn't look too good (Hull lost 47-16), but in the first half they played some very good stuff, and that's the Hull we're expecting this weekend.

"We were all very disappointed with the way things went at Salford, and this is our chance to put things right.

"Everyone is fit and healthy, with a couple of day's break having freshened everyone up. It was great to go on that winning run, but that is behind us now.

"Losing at Salford hit us very hard, and I sense in training that the boys are desperate to avoid a repeat this weekend."
