JON SHARP was back at the Giants today and determined to put the bitter disappointment of Great Britain's Tri-Nations final defeat to Australia firmly behind him.

The Great Britain assistant coach watched the undisputed world champions produce a rugby league masterclass to destroy the Lions 44-4 at Elland Road on Saturday night.

But Sharp was anxious to put all that behind him and focus on the `day job' - preparing the Giants for Super League X.

"We were obviously all bitterly disappointed with the way things went on Saturday," said Sharp.

"We had been happy with our preparations and felt we could give it a really good go.

"Unfortunately, on the night the Aussies were awesome, you couldn't take that away from them.

"But there's no point dwelling on that.

"That's now behind us all, and for me it's a case of starting to focus 100% on the task at hand at the Giants.

"I've obviously been visiting the club whenever I've had a spare moment with Great Britain and I'm delighted with the way things have been coming together.

"Pre-season training gets under way next Monday and this week will be spent fine-tuning preparations to ensure next week runs as smoothly as possible.

"To be honest, I'm really looking forward to getting cracking with my boys again.

"The last few months have been hard work, and Saturday was clearly a very disappointing ending.

"But it's an experience I'm hoping will stand me in good stead for the season ahead."

The next big occasion on the rugby league calendar is the release of the fixtures for Super League X, which is expected to take place on Wednesday.
