GIANTS coach Jon Sharp has today hailed his side's upturn in Super League fortunes, but warned: "Don't blow it now!"

Three successive top-flight triumphs have lifted the Giants off the foot of the table for the first time this season.

And the nature of the wins over Wakefield, Warrington and Wigan suggests they will be too strong for Harlequins when they clash at the Galpharm on Sunday.

While Huddersfield spent the weekend destroying Wigan 41-16, the Quins were being held 22-22 at home by Wakefield.

But that point helped the London-based side maintain their position in the top six - and Sharp believes that's the key statistic.

"Harlequins are in the top six on merit and will prove tough opponents," warned Sharp.

"Immediately after beating Wigan, I stressed how vital it was that we didn't fall in love with ourselves after winning three Super League games on the trot.

"We're obviously delighted with the way the recent results have gone.

"But we're still nowhere near where we want to be, and that's why we need to keep our focus and continue to build on what we're doing.

"We've now got some great momentum behind us, and we don't want to blow it by letting our standards slip against Harlequins this weekend.

"Remember, this is a side that beat St Helens at St Helens just over a month ago, so that shows their quality."

Sharp reports a clean bill of health following the weekend triumph.

And utility back Shane Elford may also come into the reckoning after missing the game with a shoulder injury.
