GIANTS officials are hoping to fill the lower tier of the Lawrence Batley Stand at Friday's Super League clash against fellow top-six side Hull (8.00).

The match is being screened live on Sky TV and the lower tier will be in shot for a lot of the contest.

For that reason, the Giants are keen to see as many fans as possible decked out in claret and gold.

The club will be encouraging all the Hull fans to occupy the Panasonic side of the John Smith's Stand.

And at the same time they are inviting Giants season-ticket holders on the John Smith's side to use the Lawrence Batley.

"It is something we have done in the past, and because it has generally proved a success we see no reason why we shouldn't do it again," said Giants general manager Richard Thewlis.

"But we are also very keen to portray to as wide an audience as possible the image of a Giants club that is moving forward on all fronts.

"The team is going very well on the field and thoroughly deserves to be in the top six.

"A bumper Giants turn-out would show the rest of the rugby league world just how healthy this club really is.

"This is another chance for people to take pride in their sport in Huddersfield.

"Hull have also made an excellent start to the season and, after winning at Bradford Bulls in their last away game in Super League, they are guaranteed bumper support.

"One of our aims is to outshout the visitors."
