ROBBIE PAUL has applauded his club for acting quickly to tie-up two of the Giants' top young talents.
Eorl Crabtree and Andy Raleigh have this month been handed three-year contract extensions.
And Paul believes the security of the new deals could help the duo fulfil their potential and go on to play for Great Britain.
The pair had already attracted the attention of other Super League clubs because of their outstanding displays in Huddersfield's rapid rise up the top-flight ladder.
But the club have acted quickly to end the speculation, which Paul feels is a very smart move.
"Eorl and Andy are both fantastic players and can go a very long way in the game," said Paul, pictured.
"So for the club to sign them up now is a great move. Last season, I backed Eorl for Great Britain honours, and I'm backing him again.
"At the age of 24, he's still young for a player in his position and I think we can all see there's plenty more to come from him.
"He is continuing to get better and better.
"And that's also the case with Andy, who I now genuinly feel is another future Great Britain international.
"He's got fantastic ball-handling skills and is very fast for such a big man.
"What's so exciting about Andy is that he has improved so much since he first came into the full-time environment about one-and-a-half years ago.
"So, I can't wait to see how much more he develops in the next one-and-a-half years. That's a tremendous prospect.
"I'm sure these two can be the backbone of the Giants pack for years to come."
The duo will once again be expected to produce big performances as the Giants seek to make it eight Super League victories on the trot against Salford at The Willows tomorrow (8.00).
