UPBEAT captain Chris Thorman believes playing with smiles on faces has been the key to the Giants’ upturn in fortunes.

Huddersfield head to Hull FC on Sunday (6.00) looking to secure a third away Super League win on the trot.

Having already won at Wigan and Castleford, Thorman is confident his side can secure a first top-flight success at the KC Stadium – as long as they can continue to enjoy themselves.

“It’s hard to pin-point exactly why we’ve turned around our away form after we couldn’t buy a win on the road earlier in the season,” said Thorman.

“But there’s no doubt we’re enjoying our rugby a lot more than we were at the start of the year.

“And I’d like to think the fans have noticed that too.

“Our aim has been to play with smiles on our faces, and I have to admit we’re loving it.

“When we do something right, we make it a big thing to celebrate, and that helps create extra energy and enthusiasm.

“You’ll notice there’s a lot of back-slapping and high fives.

“A lot of that comes from the fact we’re all best mates and enjoy playing together so much as a team.

“But the icing on the cake is obviously getting the wins, and hopefully there will be another to enjoy on Sunday!”
