GIANTS coach Tony Smith has admitted he will be forced into making an 11th-hour selection decision on his patched-up side to face Warrington Wolves on Friday night (8.00).

Smith is already missing star injured men Brandon Costin and Stanley Gene, and could now be lacking the services of three more frontline players as his side prepare for a contest which could determine their Super League play-off fate.

Jim Gannon (elbow), Jarrod O'Doherty (hamstring) and Marcus St Hilaire (ankle) are all doubts for the Giants' most important game of the season.

That's guaranteed to give Smith a major selection headache as his side look to make it nine matches unbeaten at the McAlpine.

"There's no way I can finalise a side at this stage, such is the nature of our injury problems," said Smith.

"Every player who takes to the field on Friday for us will be carrying one knock or another, although I know we're not alone in Super League on this front."
