PINK is the new colour this season at the Galpharm Stadium!

KSDL, who own the stadium, home to Huddersfield Town and the Huddersfield Giants rugby league club, have welcomed a new sponsor, transport company The Pink Link.

The Netherton-based firm is already well-known through its support of various local charity events, and as winner of the Kirklees Business of the Year award in 2004.

Now the company has signed a five-year sponsorship of the Galpharm's South Stand, which will be re-named The Pink Link Stand.

The Pink Link will publicise the new partnership through a distinct branding campaign which will be shown through media such as the launch, signs and its lorries' livery.

The firm, set up in 1981, offers nationwide distribution of palletised goods in its vivid pink vehicles.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the company's membership of Palletways (UK) Ltd, one of the UK's largest and most efficient pallet networks.

Ralph Rimmer, managing director of the Galpharm Stadium said: "Along with the stadium, The Pink Link is one of the most recognised brands in the area, due to its distinctive fleet colours and marketing strategy.

"We are very excited to be working with such a well-established company and building a partnership that we both hope will last long into the future."

Richard Allen, managing director of The Pink Link, said: "This sponsorship deal is a great opportunity to exploit new markets and be associated not only with the Galpharm Stadium, but also with the success of Huddersfield Town and the Giants.

"We believe the stand sponsorship offers an excellent opportunity to help further the interests of all involved.

"We are confident that with the help of our marketing consultants, Fantastic Media, we will deliver some very positive benefits."
