RISING Giants star Thomas Hemingway has today signed a new two-year Super League contract.

The 18-year-old goalkicking half-back has made three top-flight appearances this year and not looked out of his depth.

But he believes the next two seasons will be make or break, and he is determined to grasp his opportunity with both hands.

"I know other clubs have been looking at me and it's going to be hard earning a regular place in the first team here," admitted the county Academy player.

"But I didn't want to go anywhere else.

"It's only in the last few months that I am starting to reap the rewards of working with the first-team squad.

"I'm sure that if I can continue to improve I'll have more of a chance to prove myself at Super League level.

"It feels great knowing I've got two more years here."

Meanwhile, Bradford Bulls ace Robbie Paul has followed the lead of the Giants by playing down reports of a possible move to Huddersfield - see Page 45.
