Huddersfield Giants could have three players making their full debuts in Friday’s opening Super League XXI clash at St Helens.

Australian NRL signings Ryan Hinchcliffe and Sam Rapira are both poised for starts after impressing in the pre-season triumphs over Hull KR and Catalans Dragons.

And Oliver Roberts is also a good bet for a spot following strong trial performances, with a Langtree Park start giving him a senior start after arriving from Bradford Bulls at the end of the 2014 campaign.

St Helens: Makinson, Turner, Percival, Swift, Walsh, Walmsley, Roby, Amor, Vea, Wilkin, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Tasi, Richards, Savelio, Thompson, Peyroux, Fages, Greenwood, Owens.

Giants: Grix, McGillvary, Cudjoe, Wardle, Murphy, Brough, Ellis, Crabtree, Hinchcliffe, Lawrence, Patrick, Smith, Rapira, Ta’ai, Connor, J Johnson, Leeming, Mason, Roberts.

Referee: Robert Hicks.
