HUDDERSFIELD Giants' Senior Academy side rounded off a mixed season with a disappointing 56-22 play-off defeat at Castleford last night.

The Giants made an incredible start, with Marcus George scoring one of the quickest tries in rugby league history after just five seconds!

But by half-time, the visitors were 34-4 adrift and staring down the barrel of a big defeat.

Fortunately, they did put up a better show after the break, with tries from Iain Morrison (61 minutes), Thomas Tsang (67) and Marcus George (73) and three Patrick Walker goals.

But the Tigers were always in control, despite the efforts of the likes of Morrison and Marcus George, who worked hard all night and deserved their tries.
