HUDDERSFIELD Giants are in Super League's top six for the first time this season!

Coach Jon Sharp's in-form side made it six wins out of six with a convincing 36-12 triumph over Wakefield Trinity at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium to storm into a play-off spot.

It was the Giants' seventh straight win over Wakefield and puts them in buoyant mood ahead of Friday's Challenge Cup clash at bottom club Salford.

Although Huddersfield have made a remarkable recovery after losing their opening seven top-flight fixtures, Sharp has made it clear no-one at the Galpharm is getting carried away.

And he is continuing the policy of ignoring his side's position in the League ladder.

"We didn't look at the table when we were bottom of the standings, and we don't intend to start looking at it now," said Sharp, who left out the unfortunate Stuart Jones to make way for the return of Robbie Paul, back after suffering a broken bone in his left hand.

"From day one, the focus has been on concentrating on ourselves and what we do, and trying to lock ourselves in from the outside world.

"We believe in what we are doing and that the results will aways take care of themselves.

"Rather than worry about where we are in the table, the focus is to keep winning and keep winning.

"Right now it is a policy that is serving us well, so we see no need to change.

"I'm delighted with the way the side is playing, but we all know there is still plenty of room for improvement."
