ROD JENSEN, Tom Hemingway and Danny Kirmond will all have a run-out in tonight’s Giants’ Reserve clash against Leeds Rhinos at Stanningley (7.30).

All three travelled to the South of France as part of the Super League squad to face Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.

But they obviously missed out on a place in the final 17 and so will be in action this evening in a bid to push their claims for a Super League return at Wakefield on Sunday, June 15.

Tonight’s game was originally scheduled for tomorrow, but with Leeds entertaining Wigan in the Carnegie Challenge Cup that day, a fixture switch was inevitable.

That means Huddersfield’s Academy side has the entire weekend to themselves.

They entertain Hull KR at the DRAM Centre tomorrow (2.00), with a good crowd anticipated because of the first team not having a match.

And the home side are hoping they will be able to cheer the Giants’ Under 18s team to a second success of the season.

Although Huddersfield are second bottom of the table, they have already faced the top clubs in the competition and been highly competitive in them all.

Their one success came against Harlequins three weeks ago and was followed with a battling performance at leaders Bradford Bulls.

And a repeat display this weekend should prove enough.
