WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats will be fielding a strong squad for Sunday’s home pre-season clash against the Giants (3.30).

Just three senior members of head coach John Kear’s squad will be sitting out the contest.

They are injured duo Matty Blaymire (hamstring) and Motu Tony (hand), and new signing Jeremy Smith, who is still waiting to receive a playing visa.

But captain Glenn Morrison will play for the first time this pre-season after recovering from injury.

He will be joined in a squad that also includes top youngsters Kieran Hyde, Stuart Howarth and Josh Veivers.

Wakefield are hoping for a decent turn-out and confirmed admission for the game is £12 for adults and £6 concessions.

Meanwhile, Leon Pryce will continue to be a Saint for the rest of the season.

The England stand-off had been linked with a possible move back to Bradford Bulls to fill the huge void left by departed Australian half-back Matt Orford.

But Pryce has assured St Helens fans he has no intention of moving on from the club where he made his debut in 2006.

“I want to end the speculation regarding my future,” he said.

“I love playing at Saints and I am not going anywhere.

“I am contracted with the club and I am committed and looking forward to what will be a very exciting season for us all.

“I’m really enjoying working with (new coach) Royce Simmons and trying our hardest to win trophies.”
