ALL Giants eyes will be on Wigan's JJB Stadium tonight for a game that will have a massive bearing on the McAlpine club.

Should the Warriors beat St Helens in the Super League Grand Final elimination semi-final, new head coach Jon Sharp will be clear to take over at the Giants.

Sharp will only join Huddersfield once his commitments end with the Saints, where he is No2 to Ian Millward.

And those commitments could be concluded tonight if St Helens are beaten by their deadly rivals.

Giants officials admit several major signings cannot be finalised until Sharp has taken complete control and given them his full approval.

And from the club's perspective, the sooner the better.

"Tonight's match obviously has massive implications for the Giants, and I don't think a Wigan-Saints match has ever attracted so much attention from our club," said Giants spokesman Richard Thewlis

Huddersfield, meanwhile, are celebrating the call-up of Thomas Hemingway to the England Junior Academy squad for two games against Australia in December.
