GIANTS chief Jon Sharp is demanding his players step up a gear to guarantee success against Wigan at the Galpharm on Sunday (3.00).

His Huddersfield side go into the contest on the back of two successive Super League wins and welcome back top prop John Skandalis (right) who missed Monday's Warrington win with a back strain.

The Giants are still one point adrift at the foot of the table after losing their opening seven top-flight fixtures.

But even though they finally got their act together with their Easter wins over Wakefield and Warrington, Sharp is calling for a further improvement from his players this weekend.

"Wigan showed with their win at Leeds on Tuesday that they're a class act," said Sharp.

"And that's a clear signal to us that Sunday is not going to be easy.

"The boys are obviously in a very buoyant mood after what proved to be the perfect Easter for us.

"But we know we're going to have to go up another level if our good run is to continue this weekend."
