GIANTS scrum half Paul White will make his eagerly-awaited return in tomorrow's Senior Academy game against Oldham at Lockwood Park (7.30).

It will be the 21-year-old's first match since suffering a broken leg in the big pre-season win over Castleford Tigers on January 30.

White has been looking sharp in training and will be eager to get back into the Super League frame as quickly as possible.

And coach Jon Sharp is hoping this will be sooner rather than later.

"It's great to be able to talk about Paul's return, because when he first suffered his injury I feared we may not see him at all this season," admitted Sharp.

"But due to his immediate treatment by club doctor Amit Pannu, the rehab work of physio Martin Higgins and Paul's hard work we can look forward to seeing him in action tomorrow night.

"It's now a case of Paul trying to get back his match fitness and form, and taking things from there.

"I believe his bad break has helped make him a tougher player mentally, and that could prove crucial as he tries to gain back a Super League place.

"This is an important time for Paul, and I know he's desperate to make a very rapid impression."
