Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson could field an unchanged team for Thursday’s Super League XXI trip to Wigan Warriors.

Anderson has made just one change to the squad that beat leaders Warrington Wolves 11-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday night, with on-loan winger Gene Ormsby coming back into the squad in place of Sam Wood. He was not allowed to play against his parent club.

That means there’s no place in the 19 for experienced forwards Eorl Crabtree (abdomen) and Larne Patrick (illness), who missed last week’s win but have been able to train this week.

Anthony Gelling is set to feature for Wigan after recovering from a knee injury picked up in the Easter Monday win over Hull KR. Ahead of that game he had been an ever-present this season.

Joe Bretherton is the player to miss out whilst Ben Flower maintains his place in the squad and is expected to feature after recovering from a hamstring injury.

“Gells has been the best centre in the competition bar none, he’s training the house down and he’s ready to go,” reported Wigan coach Shaun Wane.

“He wants to play. Even the week before the Wakefield game when we were struggling, he was putting his hand up to play, even though he wasn’t ready.

“But I like people like that – we’ve had to him back. He just wants to play and we’ve missed him.”

Giants fans are reminded that because it’s a Thursday night Sky TV clash, anyone who buys a ticket for the game receives free coach travel across to Wigan.
