NEW Giants recruit Stephen Wild is delighted to have moved to Huddersfield - so he can be on the same side as Paul Reilly!

The GB international who has moved from Wigan is now in pre-season training with the Giants after spending two months with the Lions' Gillette Tri-Nations squad.

And the 24-year-old admits he was delighted to see full-back Reilly training alongside him at Huddersfield, knowing they will now become teammates.

"It was great to finally meet my new teammates for the first time following my move," said Wild.

"There's some quality players in this squad. That's why I chose to come here.

"One of the players I'm really looking forward to playing alongside is Paul Reilly.

"Paul is widely regarded as one of the toughest players in the game and when you've played against him you know it's true.

"He runs so hard - without any fear I read in one report - and that's true too.

"I remember when Wigan played at the Galpharm in April we really struggled to hold him.

"He scored a couple of tries that night as the Giants deservedly beat us (24-16).

"That result might have taken some people by surprise, but the Giants are now a team you can't afford to take for granted, particularly at home.

"So when you put the likes of Paul behind the big men up front, such as Eorl Crabtree and Wayne McDonald, you're bound to have a lot of go-forward.

"It's pretty exciting being a part of this squad.

"And with Jon Sharp in charge, we should have some great times ahead of us.

"I enjoyed working with Jon with Great Britain, and it's great to be working with him now with the Giants."
