GIANTS coach Jon Sharp has heaped praise on new signing Stephen Wild over his positive attitude throughout Great Britain's Tri-Nations campaign.

The 24-year-old former Wigan back-rower has not featured in a Lions side so far and is not expected to be included in the 17 to face Australia in Saturday's `must-win' match at Hull.

But Great Britain assistant coach Sharp admits he has been highly impressed with the way Wild has conducted himself in the face of such frustration.

And he believes that's further enhanced the standing of one of his seven close-season signings.

"It's bound to have been a very frustrating time for Stephen having to watch all three of the games so far from the sidelines," said Sharp.

"But he hasn't once moaned about it or sulked in a corner.

"His response has been to train really hard and remain as positive as possible. I've been extremely impressed by that.

"He's been nothing short of awesome throughout his time with us and his fitness levels are superb.

"You can't help but be impressed by someone who has an attitude like Stephen's, and I'm sure it will rub off on all his new teammates.

"I can't wait to work with him at the Giants."
