DEPARTING Giants winger Hefin O'Hare is hoping he can inspire Huddersfield to a winning performance against Wigan at the Galpharm tomorrow (3.00) - especially for the fans!

The 26-year-old Welshman is ready to play his final game in the town before returning to rugby union with Glasgow Warriors.

Tomorrow's Super League clash is set to bring down the curtain on a five-year career at the Giants during which he has scored 65 tries in 125 appearances.

There could still be a play-off game for O'Hare in the claret and gold if the Giants beat Wigan and London suffer a shock home defeat to relegated Widnes. There would need to be a 59-point swing.

But O'Hare knows that whatever happens, this will be his final Giants match in the town.

"I'm sure tomorrow is going to be a very emotional occasion," said O'Hare.

"I've had a fantastic time at the club and I expect to have a few tears in my eyes when I take part in the lap of honour.

"This is my chance to say goodbye to the fans, who have to be the best around.

"I think I'll probably miss the fans as much as anything when I move up to Glasgow, so I'd love to put on a real show for them tomorrow and help us get the win.

"Nothing would give me greater pleasure than for me to play my part in a Giants victory for the fans in my last game.

"That would round off a brilliant time for me here."

The Giants go into the match on the back of a positive performance at Bradford Bulls a week ago.

They led 34-18 midway through the second half before injuries took their toll and they lost 52-34.

And O'Hare is convinced that if his side can reproduce the form they showed in the opening hour tomorrow, a third Super League success of the season over Wigan will be secured.

"Overall, I thought the effort at Bradford was brilliant," he added.

"We'll be looking to produce something similar tomorrow. We all want to walk off that pitch with smiles on our faces."
