HUDDERSFIELD Giants believe they have enough Super League strike power out wide.

With Bolu Fagborun expected to finally sign for Rochdale this week, the Giants have lost two wingers this month following the departure of Stuart Donlan to Castleford.

That has left just two recognised wingers at the club from last season's squad in Great Britain's Martin Aspinwall and Mat Gardner.

But Giants football manager Stuart Sheard doesn't see that as problem.

New Wests Tigers signings Jamaal Lolesi and Shane Elford have spent time on the flanks in the Australian NRL.

And, although regarded primarily as centres, Sheard knows they will provide excellent wing cover.

"Shane and Jamaal are both quick, big lads capable of causing any Super League defence problems out wide," predicted Sheard.

"Centre may well be regarded as their first-choice positions, but the fact they can also play on the wing is something that really appealed to us.

"However, next year could also be the year for Mat to really establish himself at the top level.

"He started last season very strongly, but found his chances limited in the second half of the year. He may feel he has a point to prove in 2007.

"It's disappointing to lose Stuart and Bolu, but we are well covered."
