THE last few games of the season are all about playing for pride now for Huddersfield YMCA, starting with tomorrow’s visit of Knottingley to Laund Hill (3.00).

With no chance of now getting off the foot of the table – following their deduction of two points for playing an ineligible player earlier in the season – coach Jamie Marsden is now planning for next season.

With that in mind he is giving a run-out to Colt Sam Hodge tomorrow at flanker, while Simon Wilson retains the full-back role after impressing there in the drawn game against Yarnbury.

Martyn Dalton gets to start at prop after the club suspended Steve Dyke following his sending-off last week in the Colts match, while Hodge gets his chance due to the illness of Fabio Leonne-Mazza, who is on the bench.

“We only have three games left, and I’m targeting two wins out of those,” said Marsden.

“It’s all about playing for some pride now, and looking at our best options for next season.”
