YMCA continue their wind-down to a topsy-turvy season tomorrow when they visit third-placed West Park Leeds (3.00) looking to halt a run of four defeats.
And coach Damon Scholes has one familiar face back in the line-up with the long-awaited return of centre Stuart Morton who has missed most of the season with a long-standing injury.
Morton, who had a run-out with the Seconds last week takes over at outside centre, allowing Scholes to rest Gavin Stead, who is playing for Yorkshire’s Under 20s on Sunday in the quarter-final of the County Cup.
YM face a dilemma in the second row, however, with Kevin Hellawell having a suspected broken wrist from last week’s game against Leos, while Tim Horner is sidelined for the remainder of the campaign with a back injury.
Scholes is leaving his options open, but has called in Fabio Leonne-Mazza and Tom Lockwood, while Sam Hodge is back after recovering from injury and will almost certainly get the nod at wing forward.
YM defeated West Park Leeds 16-11 at Laund Hill back in December, which was a surprise result as West Park were on top of the table at the time – which, coincidentally came on the back of a defeat to Leos!
