TOM OWEN is again on standby at fly-half should Chris Johnson be on Lancashire county duty against Yorkshire at Fylde when Huddersfield entertain Kendal tomorrow in their penultimate National II North fixture (3.00).
Huddersfield will be keen to put last week’s disappointing 18-15 defeat at Morley behind them, although they could probably have some cause for excuse, having won the Yorkshire Cup three days earlier with a monumental effort against Hull.
And although neither side have anything to fight for other than pride tomorrow, manager Nick Bone want his Field team to assert their authority and notch another victory in what has been their most successful season to date.
The only alteration in the pack from the one which began the Cup final, sees James Davies coming into the second row for the unavailable Gavin Rhodes, while in the backs, it will depend on Johnson’s availability as to where Owen plays.
Having beaten Kendal at Mintbridge 26-22 earlier in the season, Huddersfield will be aiming for another League double.
