TOM LOCKWOOD is handed his home debut when Knottingley visit the YMCA’s Laund Hill tomorrow (2.15).

The Huddersfield University student is called into the side in place of unavailable winger Chris Beever, while the other changes see Tim Horner again moving up to No10 from full-back due to the absence of James Swift, along with the return of centre Alex Shaw.

Mark Lockwood, Stuart Dyke and either Neil Pollock or Phil Wilson are on the bench, depending on a late fitness tests.

Coach Damon Scholes knows his side will be severely tested by a Knottingley team who are riding high in Yorkshire II in second spot and have their eyes firmly fixed on promotion.

“Knottingley are definitely the best side we have seen this season, and we were well and truly beaten at their place back in November,” admitted Scholes.

“We know it will be tough, but we are looking forward to getting back to action, after the disappointment of last week’s game against Hessle being called off when the visitors couldn’t raise a side.”

Surprisingly, YM have been told to re-arrange the already re-arranged game for April 3 (Easter Saturday), despite the fact that Hessle admitted they couldn’t raise a team last Saturday, and did not alert YM officials until 11.45!
