Liam Parfitt is back from Sale Sharks duty to help Huddersfield RU try and topple National II North leaders Macclesfield.

Gareth Lewis’s side are fresh from a morale-boosting 37-32 home victory against Luctonians but have one player banned and three unavailable.

Lewis Bradley starts a three-match suspension for striking, while Henry Walker, Joel Hinchliffe and Elliot Hodgson are not available for the trans-Pennine trip.

Coach Lewis can include Parfitt, however, and also scrum half Dan Jeffrey, who is back following an eye injury.

“Last week was a huge result for everyone connected with the club and it’s been a long time coming,” said Lewis of the win against Luctonians, their first of 2016.

“To score five tries against any team in the league is a testament to the lads and they showed real character to hand on to the win, especially being down to 12 men in the final minutes.

“The Luctonians game is gone now, though, and we face an incredibly tough challenge away at the league leaders.

“However, we will not shy away from them and will give it our best shot.”
