GUTSY lock forward Damian Pearson makes his eagerly-awaited return from injury tomorrow when YMCA entertain fourth-placed Selby at Laund Hill (kick-off 2.15pm).

Pearson, pictured right, who had begun to form a good partnership with Ross Housley, has been out for several weeks with a shoulder injury.

But he is likely to get a run from the bench, where he will be joined by Graeme Sarjeant, another player back from a lengthy injury, in his case the neck..

Unfortunately, Sarjeant’s return may only by temporary as he apparently plans to join the navy.

Stephen Dyke gets the nod at wing forward after impressing coach Carl Thewlis, while Neil Walker and Simon Whitehead are both expected to start in the pack, despite both carrying injuries.

Selby were beaten by League leaders Sandal last week, but will no doubt be looking to exact revenge after YM basically relegated the East Yorkshire club two years ago.

YMCA: Belton, Greenwood, Rees, Stead, Ryder; Wolfe, Williams, Van Niekirk, Joblin, Dobson, Housley, Whitehead, Anderson, Walker, Dyke (Stephen). Gregson, Pearson, Sarjeant.
