COACH Mark Sowerby switches his attention to Cup duty tonight (7.30) as his Huddersfield RU side visit National League super stars Leeds Tykes - again!
It will be the second time in three years that unlucky Huddersfield have been pitched against the Tykes - top of National I and heading back into the Premiership next season, while last year they drew another big club in Morley.
But the Lockwood Park side's director of rugby and player-coach is calling for another big effort from his young squad.
"We've nothing to lose, and we are going over there to give it our best shot," said Sowerby.
"Hopefully we can make a better fist of it than we did the last time we played them.
"We've certainly not had the best of luck with the draw in recent years, and it would be nice just to get through the first round for a change."
Sowerby is certainly sending a strong team to Chandos Park, for what will be the last-ever game at the historic ground before the Leeds Academy move to a new venue, with just a couple of changes from the side on duty against Beverley last Saturday.
University student Ollie Wickett has returned home to Devon for Easter, while scrum half Damian Clayton is working, so Tom Ainsworth is brought in at No9, while Chris Johnson takes over at stand-off.
The back division remains the same with the massive James Mortimore, a second half sub against Beverley, keeping his place, alongside Lee Paxman.
The only change in the pack is at hooker, where James Davies comes in for Chris Gough who will be one of seven subs on the bench.
Gavin Jones, who was replaced on Saturday after taking a blow to his neck, is fit again and will play at wing foward.
Huddersfield: Metcalfe; Paxman (B), Paxman (L), Mortimore, Shaw; Johnson, Ainsworth; Pollock, Davies, Chattha, Barnard, Harris, Jones, Whitehead, Sowerby. Subs: Rhodes, Rotchell, Hall, Gough, Sharrock, Carter.
